Ann Schroeder
President and CEO
Ann Schroeder is founder and chief executive officer of GlobalSource Partners. In 1992, she began developing a network of highly respected economic and political analysts in Latin America, a group that in 1995 would become LatinSource. In 2000, she introduced GlobalSource, to offer clients coverage of emerging markets in Europe, Asia, and Africa. The companies merged in 2008 to form GlobalSource Partners, which provides coverage of 19 developing countries. Ms. Schroeder has been involved in the financial services industry since 1984, initially as a financial consultant with Shearson Lehman Brothers, and later with Institutional Analysts, which provided management and marketing services for independent analysts. She received an undergraduate degree from Trinity University, and an MBA from Fordham University. She is a member of the Women’s Presidents Organization, and a founding member of the Nemours Foundation. She also serves on the advisory board of Pro Mujer, a microfinance network that provides loans, business training and health care support to women in Latin America.
Cynthia Rivera
COO
Cynthia Rivera is the company’s chief operating officer. As part of the management team, she manages new product launches, client management, marketing efforts, human resources and technology and operation functions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rivera was a consultant for a multi-strategy Fund of Funds, where she was in charge of strengthening the infrastructure, launching the company’s branding and building personnel. From 1998 to 2007, she was COO and CFO of JPMorgan’s Currency and Global Emerging Markets divisions, where she was in charge of managing the financial and accounting systems, and executing the business initiatives. Earlier, she worked at Barclays Capital as a derivatives marketer for asset and liability firms, and was a research manager for mortgage and asset backed securities. She holds a business administration degree and an undergraduate degree in finance and economics from St. John’s University.
Robert Berges
Global Business Development
Robert Berges oversees the company's business development efforts for the Americas. Earlier, he was chief Latin America investment strategist for Merrill Lynch, responsible for all regional equity strategy research, and for coordinating investment ideas for the Latin America research team. He previously served as Latin America Service director of the economic consulting firm WEFA Group (now Global Insight), and held other economic consulting and research posts. He began his career at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic. Mr. Berges received an undergraduate degree from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Ureña in the Dominican Republic, and a master’s in economics from the University of Delaware.
