Fritz Du Bois
Fritz Du Bois is a partner in Econsult, and a managing director of the Instituto Peruano de Economíca, an economic think tank based in Lima. He held several positions at Peru’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, from 1991 to 1998. As advisor to the economy minister, he oversaw the formulation of Peru’s economic policy, and was principally in charge of the structural reform programs for Peru’s trade, pension, privatization and labor and tax systems. During the 1980s, Mr. Du Bois served as Peru’s trade commissioner in London, and representative to several international commodity organizations. He was charge of promoting Peruvian trade and investments, and negotiating bilateral external debt and product quotas. Mr. Du Bois graduated in business administration from the London Polytechnic Institute, and holds a degree from Pontificia Catholic University of Peru.

Roberto Abusada
Roberto Abusada is a partner in Econsult, and co-founder of Instituto Peruano de Economíca. He previously served as principal advisor to the minister of the economy, where he helped renegotiate Peruvian debt to private creditors and the Paris Club. Since the late 1970s, Mr. Abusada has been instrumental in the formulation of Peruvian economic policy. During President Fernando Belaúnde’s second term, he was vice minister of trade and economy, and director of the board of the Central Bank. Dr. Abusada holds a B.A. from the Catholic University of Peru, and a Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University. He has been a professor of economics at the Catholic University and Boston University. As a consultant, Dr. Abusada carried out extensive research for the World Bank, and for other international institutions.
