Ruth Krivoy
Ruth de Krivoy is president of the Caracas-based consulting firm Síntesis Financiera.
She was president of the Central Bank of Venezuela from 1992 to 1994, when the law was changed to establish the independence of the Central Bank. Her direction of monetary policy helped foster confidence and stability in the midst of severe political and financial turbulence.
She is a consultant to the Financial Stability Institute, and the Bank for International Settlements, and a program leader in banking at the Toronto International Leadership Center for Financial Supervision, where she has served on the executive board. She is a founding member and former chair of the Latin American Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee, and a member of the Non G-7 Eminent Persons’ Group.
Her book “Collapse: The Venezuelan Banking Crisis of 1994” was published by The Group of Thirty in 2000.
Ruth de Krivoy graduated summa cum laude in economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela.

Tamara Herrera
Tamara Herrera is Director and chief economist of the Caracas-based consulting firm Síntesis Financiera.
From 1991 to 1996, Ms. Herrera led the research team of Sociedad Financiera Union, the investment banking arm of Grupo Union. Ms. Herrera has been an advisor to the Venezuelan Banking Association since 2003. She is also a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fedecámaras) and of the Economic Committee of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce.
Ms Herrera holds a degree in Economics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.

Victor Ramos
Victor Ramos is the oil specialist of the Caracas-based consulting firm Síntesis Financiera. Mr. Ramos has 19 years of experience in the Venezuelan oil industry, with ample knowledge in marketing, refining, corporate business plans and oil maritime transportation as well as a deep understanding of local politics. Mr. Ramos holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar.
