Ruth Krivoy
Ruth Krivoy is GlobalSource’s local partner in Venezuela. She is President of Síntesis Financiera, a Caracas-based consulting firm and is vice-chair at the Toronto International Leadership Center for Financial Supervision.
Ms. Krivoy served as President of the Central Bank in 1992-1994 and was instrumental in establishing the central bank’s independence during her tenure. She is a founding member and past-chair of the Latin American Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee.
Ms. Krivoy graduated summa cum laude in economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
Her book Collapse: The Venezuelan Banking Crisis of 1994 was published by the Group of Thirty in 2000.

Tamara Herrera
Tamara Herrera is GlobalSource’s local partner in Venezuela, serving in conjunction with Ruth Krivoy. She is also Director and Chief Economist of Síntesis Financiera, an economic consulting firm based in Caracas.
Previously, Ms. Herrera was Head of Research at Sociedad Financiera Unión and served as an advisor to the Venezuelan Banking Association. She is a member of the Economic and Financial Committee of the Venezuelan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Fedecámaras) and of the Economic Committee of the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Herrera received her bachelor’s degree in economics from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.

Victor Ramos
Victor Ramos is GlobalSource’s local partner in Venezuela, serving in conjunction with Ruth Krivoy.
He is a senior analyst at Síntesis Financiera, a Caracas-based consulting firm, where he specializes in the oil sector and political analysis. Mr. Ramos has 20 years of experience in the Venezuelan oil industry, with a focus on refining, corporate business planning and oil maritime transportation.
Mr. Ramos received his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar.
