Oscar Landerretche
Oscar Landerretche is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Chile. He is a member of the Financial Advisory Council of the Ministry of Finance, and executive secretary of the Presidential Advisory Council on Labor and Equality. He is also a senior researcher at the university’s Intelis Center on innovation and entrepreneurship.
From 1995 –1999, Dr. Landerretche was an economist with the Central Bank of Chile. He served as a senior economic advisor for President Michelle Bachelet’s 2005 presidential campaign; was a member of the Monetary Policy Group; and was an economic forecaster for Chile for the Pacific Economic Outlook of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council, in 2004-2005.
Dr. Landerretche received his Ph.D. in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a B.A. in economics from the University of Chile.
