FAN Gang
Fan Gang is a director of the National Economic Research Institute, a non-governmental research institution in Beijing, and serves on the monetary policy committee of the People's Bank of China. Since 2003, he has served as chairman of the China Reform Foundation.
He is also a professor of economics at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, an elite government think tank that oversees numerous research institutes.
Earlier, he was an advisor to various central and provincial government departments. He has been a consultant to the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program, the OECD and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
Fan Gang earned his Ph.D. in economics at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He was a visiting fellow of the Harvard-based National Bureau of Economic Research, and has written eight books on macroeconomics and the economics of transition.

HE Liping
He Liping, a leading expert on China’s monetary policy and external economic relations, is a director of the National Economic Research Institute, and chairs the Department of Finance at Beijing Normal University’s School of Economics.
He is a senior advisor to the China Economic Information Centre (CEI), and an external member of the academic committee of the Research Institute of World Politics and Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He was deputy director of the Economic Research Center at the China Institute of Finance and Banking, from 1987-2001.
He has carried out research projects for the People’s Bank of China, the Ministry of Finance, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, and serves on the boards of the China Society of Finance, China Society of International Finance, and China Society of World Economics.
