8pm-6am curfew introduced as positive cases for coronavirus doubles

Moments ago, President Danilo Medina signed a decree that set a curfew beginning today March 20 and ending on April 3. The curfew was set from 8pm through 6am. Exceptions were made for health, security, press and emergency personnel. Also the Minister of Public Health announced today that positive cases for Covid-19 climbed from 34 to 72 in the last two days. This is likely the result of the increase in the testing for the virus by accredited private labs which were recently allowed to do the test. It is very likely that the number of cases will increase significantly in the upcoming days as more test are done. The minister also informed that total deaths from Covid-19 remains at two (both with preexisting serious illnesses), 132 tests have resulted negative, 301 persons are under observation and 78 are currently in isolation.
