With no major developments in two market-relevant issues that the politics author follows, namely the assault on CHP and corporate raids, he starts with the topic, which is on the lips of every Turkish pundit. He writes about new tensions surfacing between governing partners with a distinct lack of enthusiasm, because there isn’t yet strong evidence that a break-up or an ultimatum from Bahceli is on the way. On the economy front, confidence indices presented a mixed picture of sorts in October, but combined with September jobs data, they seem to corroborate the stagnant or mediocre state of affairs in the economy, with a --most probably-- positive yet anemic growth in economic activity. Looking ahead, there are several useful data releases this week, but the October inflation print (on Monday) and the last Inflation Report of the year (on Friday) top the list.
