Feb 26 National gas company: QazaqGaz and the Qatari UCC Holding have developed a project design for the construction of a second gas processing plant at Kashagan with an annual capacity of 2.5 bcm. EBRD: The bank upgraded Kazakhstan's 2026 GDP growth forecast from 4.5% to 4.7%. Tengizchevroil: Oil production at the Tengiz field gradually recovers after being suspended in January due to power supply problems. Feb 27 Energy ministry: Oil production in Kazakhstan in 2025 was about 99.6 mln tons (up by 13.5%). Energy Ministry: Kazakhstan currently has no problems with oil transportation via the CPC. Energy ministry: Oil exports from Kazakhstan in 2026 will remain at the same level as in 2025 (78.7 mln tons). Energy ministry: Oil production at the Tengiz field has almost completely recovered. Grain Union of Kazakhstan: Kazakhstani farmers in 2026 may lose about KZT200 bln due to changes in the Tax Code, due to reduced VAT refunds to grain exporters.
