Justice Alexandre de Moraes yesterday ordered the start of sentence enforcement for those convicted in the so-called “Core 1” of the attempted coup, including former President Jair Bolsonaro and Generals Braga Netto and Augusto Heleno. A new CNT/MDA poll on the 2026 race was released yesterday. According to the institute, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) and Ratinho Jr. (PSD) are the most competitive right-leaning contenders against Lula. The Senate Plenary approved a bill regulating special retirement rules for community health agents and endemic-control workers (PLP 185/24). The government opposed the vote, as the measure is expected to raise social-security expenditures by R$ 24.72 billion over ten years.
