Yesterday, former President Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) legal team filed a petition with the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF) stating that he did not authorize the use of his image or voice in an artificial intelligence-generated video shown during the PL convention that formally nominated Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-SP) as the party's presidential candidate. The filing was submitted to Justice Alexandre de Moraes in response to a request for clarification related to the enforcement of precautionary measures imposed on the former president. Flávio Bolsonaro has confirmed that he will attend the Republicanos party convention in São Paulo on Saturday, where Governor Tarcísio de Freitas is expected to be formally nominated for reelection. The Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB) formally endorsed President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's reelection bid yesterday and confirmed Vice President Geraldo Alckmin as his running mate.
