Former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) showed that he still has significant political capital. Whomever he decides to support in the upcoming elections is likely to receive a high number of votes. While the demonstration is unlikely to change his legal status, he remains Lula's main antagonist. This week, the president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), will meet with party leaders to discuss the interests of each party regarding Permanent Committees of the House. As long as the new composition of the committees remains undetermined, their activities remain paralyzed. On Friday, March 3, the IBGE will publish the GDP result for 2023. Expectations vary between 2.8% and 3.2% in relation to the previous year, above what the market had predicted at the beginning of last year.
