The COP 30 Leaders’ Summit will take place in Belém on Thursday and Friday. Senate President Davi Alcolumbre has scheduled for this Tuesday, November 4, the installation of the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) that will investigate organized crime in Brazil. The Senate may also vote on the bill granting an income tax exemption to those earning up to R$5,000 per month. In economic matters, attention turns to the Central Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee (Copom) meeting on the benchmark interest rate (Selic). Meanwhile, the Supreme Court’s First Panel begins hearing appeals filed by former President Jair Bolsonaro and seven others convicted of attempting a coup d’état.
