The deadline for creation of political parties and party affiliations ahead of the October elections is April 4. Representative Rodrigo Maia may conclude a constitutional amendment proposal on the “war budget”, which would give the government greater flexibility to tackle the crisis created by the coronavirus. In the Lower House, the Centrao is pressuring for a vote on urgency for the bill that forces companies worth more than R$ 1 billion to loan up to 10% and employ up to 10% of their profits to fight the effects of Covid-19.
