The Supreme Federal Court (STF) begins the trial of former president Jair Bolsonaro and seven other defendants accused of attempting a coup d’état in 2022. President Lula launches the “People’s Gas” program, a reformulation of the “Gas for All” program. In the Lower House, the government pushes forward a bill to exempt income tax for those earning up to R$ 5,000 a month. The Senate may vote on the Precatórios Amendment and on the bill targeting repeat tax offenders. The IBGE will release second-quarter GDP data.
