China virus check - week ending June 22

Our latest data for economic activity in China shows a general improvement in trends:

1) Coal consumption in the power industry flattened out while operations for iron ore blast furnaces were unchanged.
2) Traffic congestion was surprisingly weak. This could signal intra-city problems relating to the virus re-occurrence.
3) Expressway traffic was generally positive W/W.
4) Underground metro rail was relatively flat.
5) Little change in freight logistics, as in the previous week.
6) Commercial property transactions varied sharply over the week.
7) A positive trend in several of the job search points from Baidu.
8) Car sales were weak.
