A transition rule is currently under negotiation. The Lower House may vote this week on Complementary Bill (PLP) No. 114/26, introduced by Congressman Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS), which authorizes the federal government to offset fuel tax breaks with extraordinary revenues from the oil sector. The measure aims to mitigate the economic impacts of the conflict in the Middle East on the energy market. Polling institute AtlasIntel will release a presidential voting intention poll tomorrow (May 19). The poll was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) on May 13, shortly after the release of audio recordings involving Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL).
