CPI testimony this week did not reflect well on the government

Yesterday in the COVID Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI), the former director of Pfizer in Brazil detailed the laboratory’s offer of vaccines to the Brazilian government. He confirmed that the Brazilian government’s response was delayed, and ultimately the government missed out on a few million doses. Overall, the CPI testimony this week did not reflect well on the government.

The ICMS case was finally voted on in the Supreme Federal Court (STF) yesterday. The decision will be applied retroactively as of March 2017, which is an important victory for the government.
