Do not take Tisza's constitutional majority for granted yet

Tisza obviously won the election with a great margin, and that you can take for granted. However, the situation is not quite the same clear regarding Tisza's supermajority or the lack of it.We have reported that the vote count is set to be completed only on Saturday this week. But we are now stressing this once again, because we have the growing impression that the market, reading the somewhat casual and superficial reports appearing in the media, is essentially taking Tisza's two-thirds (constitutional or super) majority as a done deal.The reality, however, is that it is not a done deal as yet. The current standing is 136 seats for Tisza, 57 seats for Fidesz and 6 seats for Mi Hazánk. This is still good for two-thirds out of 199, so for now, Tisza is OK.However, votes that can be potentially still waiting for being counted may reach the maximum of 91k from the physical ballot boxes outside the country, 224k from the ballots cast domestically but away from the registered permanent residence of the voter and 238k from non-resident 'mail voters', who decided to deposit their ballot with a Hungarian consulate rather than actually sending it in by mail. Taken together, this makes a total of 553k potentially existing votes, that is 9.4% of the nearly six million (5894k) votes that have been already counted.We need to stress that these figures represent the theoretical maximum in each case: we know how many voters have registered for foreign voting and away from home though inside the country, and we also know how many people have registered for mail voting.
