Electoral law set to be changed

Events are developing extremely fast. After consultations with Volodymyr Zelenskiy leaders of parliamentary factions reported today that early parliamentary elections will be on July 21. On the top of that MPs reported about an agreement to change election law and to cancel majoritarian votes. Instead there will be open party lists system. From the words of the meeting participants entry barrier will be reduced down to 3% from 5% currently. Surprisingly how easily old parliamentarians accepted the proposed changes. The decision on new election law is expected to be approved over the upcoming days. If majoritarian system cancelled, Zelenskiy will be able to take majority in the parliament. However, the big question - who will be in his part, the People's Servant. Still mobilizing few hundred good people to compile a least is incredibly easier than fighting with local elites at the field under majoritarian vote.
