Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Ernesto Araujo testifies in the COVID CPI today

​Today, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Ernesto Araujo testifies in the COVID Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) in the Senate at 9 a.m. Brazil’s relationship with China should be the focus of his testimony, given Brazil’s difficulties in importing supplies for the production of vaccines. The Butantan Institute had to pause production of vaccines due to the lack of supplies but should resume production on May 26 with the arrival of new supplies from China. Another point that should be focused on during his testimony are the negotiations with pharmaceutical companies regarding the Brazilian government’s purchasing of vaccines.
