GDP Results in 4Q

Colombian GDP expanded by 3.3% in 4Q 2015; this allowed economic activity to expand by 3.1% for the year as a whole, pretty much in line with the market’s expectations (3%). While this result is still below potential GDP growth, it was among the best in the region, above Mexico, Brazil and Chile. Nevertheless, it is the slowest growing year since 2009, and marks the beginning of a slowing trend.
