Government in the minority on the Senate Covid CPI committee

The members of the Senate’s Covid CPI have been nominated, and the government is in the minority on this committee. The government is now looking to prevent the opposition from obtaining one of the CPI’s key positions: president and rapporteur. The Budgetary Guidelines Law (LDO) should be submitted to Congress today. The LDO outlines important aspects of the 2022 Federal Budget, such as the minimum wage, expected economic growth, inflation, deficit, etc. It will first be analyzed by the Joint Budget Committee before being sent to the Congress plenary to be voted on before the legislative recess in mid-July.
