Yesterday, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said that he will send a bill to Congress on the Emergency Program for the Resumption of the Events Sector (Perse) and the payroll tax exemption for municipalities. The submission should take place next week. Today, the National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM) will hold a demonstration in Brasília in defense of reducing the payroll tax for city halls. The president of the CNM, Paulo Ziulkoski, said that mayors are willing to accept a higher rate than the 8% approved last year. President Lula will meet today with the governor of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema. The main item on the agenda is the agreement on the state's debt with the Federal Government.
