​Istanbul elections: Wait until Wednesday

I had promised an update by Tuesday, which I shall defer to Wednesday.There are two reasons. First, Erdogan will meet the party caucus and administrative bodies today to assess election results. Secondly, there are a lot rumors I need to check for verification of accuracy. I hope there will be enough leaks from AKP meetings to gauge the new road map, which may include some reforms such as severe payment and Judicial Reform.As regards the rumors, they run the gamut of Albayrak being replaced to Babacan and Davutoglu being re-invited to the party. I’m sure my audience understands how important these developments may turn out if they are indeed true. Yet, since all of them emanate from the opposition press, it behooves me to beg for extra time to do fact checking.
