Joint statement on strategic partnership sounds good

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy finally met US president Joe Biden. Ukrainian authorities have been striving to get the meeting for so long that the very fact of the talk is being presented as a big success. The President's Office, predictably, broadcast multiple important agreements the Ukrainian delegation has reached in Washington over the recent days. However, in many cases, we need to get more details on the agreements since the President's Office appears to be exaggerating their achievements a bit. But what we already have in "hard facts" to analyze is the joint statement on strategic partnership. The document looks really positive for Ukraine. The US confirms its support of our efforts to fend off Russian aggression. There was further support declared for strengthening the military capacity of Ukraine. The US also promises to continue opposing Nord Stream 2 (it’s unclear what they mean after Washington blessed completion of the project). Also, the United States promises further support in economic and humanitarian areas. Still, the statement shows that President Volodymyr Zelenskiy had many unpleasant moments when talking with Joe Biden. The statement openly repeats the IMF requirements that Ukrainian authorities prefer to overlook. In particular, the statement mentions the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine. The statement clearly points to the problem with appointing a new Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor (the President's Office has blocked the selection process because its candidate fell out of the competition).
