Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Gilmar Mendes decided yesterday to partially reverse his own injunction that had suspended portions of the law governing the impeachment of public officials. Yesterday, the Senate’s Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) approved a proposed constitutional amendment that prohibits the 6x1 work schedule and limits the weekly workload to 36 hours (PEC 148/15). The Anti-Gang Bill, which stiffens penalties for crimes committed by criminal organizations, was approved on the Senate floor. The text now returns to the Lower House after being amended.
