Kazakhstan starts using local vaccine

On April 26 Kazakhstan's health minister became the first person to be injected with QzVac. 50,000 doses have been produced by a state lab. The population is 19 million, so many more doses are needed. Some people have already been vaccinated with Sputnik V. Only 5% of the population has been vaccinated thus far.QazVac is administered in 2 doses at least 2 weeks apart. It can be kept in an ordinary fridge.QazVac is in the third stage of its clinical trials. Despite that, it is still being rolled out. It is claimed it is 96% effective after 2 shots.There have been 3,570 coronavirus deaths in the country.
