Deputy Arthur Lira (PP-AL), rapporteur for the bill that exempts income tax for those earning up to R$5,000 per month, will submit his report to the Special Committee discussing the matter. After Lira presents his report, a request for a review is expected. Voting in the Lower House plenary is scheduled for August. Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP) included on tomorrow’s (July 8) agenda the bill legalizing gambling, casinos, and bingo. Despite being scheduled for a vote, leaders acknowledge there is no agreement for its approval. Today, the Workers’ Party (PT) may announce its new national president, despite the postponed vote of members in Minas Gerais. Former Araraquara Mayor Edinho Silva is the favorite.
