Former Senate President Eunício Oliveira made a point of stressing that the dinner does not mean Simone Tebet's candidacy will be boycotted. It is also worth mentioning that the MDB is negotiating an alliance with the PSDB, União Brasil and Cidadania for October. It is unlikely that the third way parties will move together in these elections even if they launch a single candidate. The House may vote on Provisional Measure (MP) nº 1.076/21, which increases the Auxílio Brasil payments to R$ 400 through December 31. Edits have been submitted to this measure that may result in increased spending. The Senate Economic Affairs Committee is expected to vote on a complementary bill (PLP nº 186/19) that increases the maximum rate of the Tax on Services of Any Nature (ISS) from 5% to 7.5% levied on services related to the banking or financial sector.
