Another Vox poll on the presidential election was released yesterday. Lula leads both the first- and second-round simulations. In the first round, the president posts 41.5%, while Flavio Bolsonaro has 31.1%. Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) stands at 5.9% and Romeu Zema (Novo) at 4.1%. Yesterday, the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ) received Senator Plínio Valério’s (PSDB-AM) report on Proposed Constitutional Amendment (PEC) 65/2023, which expands the autonomy of the Central Bank. The debate over the 6x1 work schedule also remains active. During a lunch meeting with the Congressional Front for Commerce and Services, Congressman Leo Prates (Republicanos-BA), the rapporteur for the proposal, stated that the constitutional amendment would reduce the standard workweek from 44 to 40 hours and increase weekly days off from one to two, without salary reductions.
