On Tuesday, February 28, the PIS and Cofins tax exemptions on gasoline will end. This issue will be discussed in today's meeting. The probability is that the exemption will not be extended. The PIS and Cofins tax exemption on diesel and cooking gas, on the other hand, will run until the end of the year. Yesterday, an article in the newspaper Valor caused repercussions in the market as it discussed the possibility that a proposal amending the Mining Code would be put to a vote in the House. It is important to note that the working group in the House tasked with proposing a new Mining Code approved Rapporteur Deputy Joaquim Passarinho's (PL-PA) report in December last year.
