On Tuesday, March 5, President Lula will meet with the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), and party leaders. The objective of the meeting is to improve the relationship between the Executive Office and the National Congress. On Wednesday, March 6, the National Confederation of Municipalities will hold a demonstration in Brasília in defense of reducing the payroll tax for city halls. According to the entity, the measure would benefit cities by R$11 billion. Senator Marcelo Castro (MDB-PI) is expected to present the report on the new Electoral Code (PLP nº 112/21) this week at the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ). The text was approved in September last year in the Lower House.
