The video of former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro criticizing Senator and PL presidential hopeful Flávio Bolsonaro continues to generate political fallout. Rumors have emerged about the possibility of replacing Flávio as the party's presidential nominee. Today, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) may rule, through its virtual plenary, on a constitutional complaint aimed at limiting the extra compensation and benefits received by senior public officials. Justice Flávio Dino is the rapporteur for one of five cases currently before the Court addressing indemnity payments, retroactive compensation, and other benefits paid to judges, prosecutors, public defenders, and members of state audit courts that significantly inflate their compensation. July 4 marks the beginning of the electoral restrictions imposed on public officials ahead of the October elections. From that date forward, certain actions—including appointments, dismissals, new public hiring, and participation in public works inauguration ceremonies—will be prohibited.
