After meeting with party leaders yesterday, Lower House President Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB) placed two constitutional amendment proposals (PECs) on the plenary agenda: one ends privileged jurisdiction (foro privilegiado) and the other is the so-called “Immunities PEC". Yesterday, the Joint Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPMI) into the National Social Security Institute (INSS) approved requests to summon former INSS presidents and benefits directors, former Dataprev presidents, and leaders of organizations with contracts with the INSS since 2015. Today, Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) Geraldo Alckmin begins his agenda in Mexico City, returning on Thursday. Tomorrow, he will meet with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.
