Yesterday, Lower House President Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB) announced that a General Committee meeting will be held on the House floor next Wednesday (September 3) to debate administrative reform. Meanwhile, the INSS CPMI will launch its work today with votes on dozens of requests to summon three former Social Security ministers: Carlos Lupi, José Carlos Oliveira, and Carlos Gabas, who led the ministry under Presidents Lula (PT), Jair Bolsonaro (PL), and Dilma Rousseff (PT), respectively. President Lula (PT) will hold a cabinet meeting today to coordinate messaging on the 50% tariff hike imposed by the United States on Brazilian exports and to discuss the regulation of social media platforms and technology companies.
