On April 30 the Foundation Against Corruption (FBK) was banned. Rosinfomonitoring claimed that FBK is connected to terrorism. The government can now freeze FBK bank accounts.A court is likely to rule that FBK is extremist next week. FBK has 50 regional offices. These will be sequestrated. Anyone caught operating FBK faces a long time in jail.FBK dissolved itself on April 29 as it foresaw what was going to happen. Navalny's supporters still intend to encourage smart voting in September 2021 to defeat pro-Kremlin candidates in the parliamentary elections.FBK's expose of kleptocracy has been deeply embarrassing to Putin and his circle. That is why the state has made such strenuous efforts to crush FBK. Navalny's lawyer has been charged with the crime of disseminating investigative details. It seems that providing legal representation to former FBK members can be dangerous. Several former FBK staff have left the country. The government has announced that it shall prosecute those who attended more than one unsanctioned protests.
