Yesterday, a decision by the president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), was published in an extra edition of the Federal Official Gazette, maintaining the payroll tax exemption for cities with a population of up to approximately 150,000. In a recent interview, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said that the 2025 surplus target depends on the approval of government measures in Congress. He cited several measures, with a total impact of R$32 billion. Yesterday, the Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, said that he presented President Lula and Minister Fernando Haddad with three proposals to help reduce the impact of energy tariffs on consumers.
