Politics in times of high inflation
In a context of rising inflation and low government confidence indices, at last Thursday's speech on the “Day of the Militancy” (the day when parties celebrate the commitment and support of their voters), CFK presented herself in a rock-star manner, in a crowded “Ciudad de La Plata” Stadium. She gave an hour-long speech that very much resembled the campaign closure for a presidential election. She reaffirmed her place in the “boxing ring”, as a potential candidate for next year's presidential elections. Her open defiance of a recent Supreme Court ruling seems to suggest a modus operandi that needs the display of strong political support in the future.
