We are expecting some developments regarding Petrobras this week. President Lula may decide whether or not Jean Paul Prates will remain in office. The president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante, is currently the main option to replace Prates. On Tuesday, April 9, the Joint Committee is scheduled to be installed to analyze the provisional measure (MP) that deals with payroll tax relief (MP no. 1,202/23). The MP also puts an end to the Emergency Events Sector Resumption Program (Perse). The government is also rushing to finalize the Tax Reform regulations. The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said he intends to send the texts on April 15.
