Promising activity data while awaiting the social security project release

President Lacalle Pou is expected to present today, after its final rounds of deliberation within the ruling coalition, the bill to modify the social security system, by which Uruguay will progressively raise the retirement age from 60 to 65. This project, together with the free trade agreement with China, is one of the significant long-term political objectives of Lacalle Pou, on which he has been working actively almost since the onset of his government.

In this context of political activity, we present in this report the recent industrial activity data, which came in on the strong end of expectations.
