The fact that the government did not include a salary raise for federal public servants in this year's budget has caused some dissatisfaction, and strike movements are beginning to gain strength. Currently, the steel import tax is around 9.6%, but the national steel sector is asking for the rate to be 25%. The deadline for the government to sanction the 2024 budget ends today. There is the possibility of vetoing some of the congressional amendments.
