The fact that the government did not include a salary raise for federal public servants in this year's budget has caused some dissatisfaction, and strike movements are beginning to gain strength. The government has not yet addressed the issue, but negotiations are underway. The government will meet with representatives of the steel industry to discuss the sector's demands regarding increased taxation on imported steel. Currently, the steel import tax is around 9.6%, but the national steel sector is asking for the rate to be 25%. The deadline for the government to sanction the 2024 budget ends today. There is the possibility of vetoing some of the congressional amendments.
