Russia and EU spar over Sputnik V

The European Medicines Agency is considering approving the Russian coronavirus vaccine. An EMA official dismissed taking Sputnik V as ''playing Russian roulette''. Russia is mortally offended and demanded that this person apologize. Moscow says the remarks show political interference in the EMA's process.Hungary is already using Sputnik V, and the Czechs also intend to do so. Russia has 50 million doses of Sputnik earmarked for export to the EU.The US alleges that Russia has orchestrated a campaign of disinformation to turn people against the US vaccine.
