Russian and China plan joint moon station

On March 10 Beijing and Moscow announced that they will create a lunar space station together. Russia is exceptionally proud of the Soviet-era space prowess. However, Russian space exploration has fallen behind in recent decades. Putin also sees cooperation with China is vital to containing the West. China's space program is progressing well. Roscosmos will collaborate with the China National Space Administration. CNSA says it is open to working with other countries, too. China's Tianwen-1 is orbiting Mars.In October 2021 Russia is due to send a lunar lander. Russia has limited space collaboration with the USA. However, Russia has not agreed to the Artemis Accord with the US on lunar exploration headed by NASA.
