Russo-Chinese pipeline flows

On December 2 the first gas flowed through the Power of Siberia Pipeline. This supplies LNG from Russia to China. The 3 000 km long pipeline is operated by Gazprom the Russian State gas company. The China National Petroleum Corporation is the partner on the Chinese side. In 2014 the two countries signed a USD 400 billion agreement on 30 years of gas supply. The pipeline will not reach full capacity until 2025. Then it will carry 38 billion cubic meters of gas per annum. Russia has other major pipelines under construction. Turk Stream will supply gas to Turkey. Nordstream 2 from Russia via Denmark to Germany is due to open in mid 2020.
