Secret negotiations over Ukrainian bank

The Financial Times published a story on September 19 saying that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk is in negotiation with Ihor Kolomoisky about PrivatBank. Kolomoisky owned PrivatBank until it was nationalized in 2016. Kolomoisky then lived in Switzerland due to legal exposure in Ukraine. Kolomoisky is originally Ukrainian but he is also a citizen of Switzerland and Israel. Despite Kolomoisky saying he wants compensation for the confiscation of the bank and saying he does not want the restitution of the bank some people disbelieve him. President Zelensky is widely rumored to be financially beholden to Kolomoisky. Zelensky does not wish to be regarded as the puppet of an oligarch. After Zelensky's inauguration Kolomoisky felt it safe to return to Ukraine. Honcharuk has denied the story but not very convincingly. He said the quotations he gave about negotiating were taken out of context. But 'context' cannot explain away negotiations.
