Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM) presented yesterday a new report on Provisional Measure 1,304/25. The new text includes battery storage systems under the Special Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development (Reidi), maintaining a limit of R$1 billion for the granting of tax benefits but extending the exemption until 2030. The Lower House yesterday approved the bill that creates the Special Program for the Sustainability of the Chemical Industry (Presiq, PL 892/25). The tax incentive program aims to modernize and make the national chemical industry’s production base more sustainable. Yesterday, Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL) introduced a bill that revives the government’s proposal to increase taxation on fintechs, as previously included in Provisional Measure 1,303/25, which was rejected by the Lower House.
