Qatar is paying for some of the forum's costs. The government is hailing this as proof that Russia has fully emerged from the pandemic. Putin shall address the forum. The Austrian Chancellor and the Emir of Qatar will attend by videolink.Russian ministers shall articulate their economic vision at the forum. SMEs do not take part in it.At the end of June 2021 St Petersburg will also host soccer matches for the Euro 2020 tournament, which has been delayed to this year.Russia still suffers many coronavirus infections. Vaccination is embarrassingly slow.
