Yesterday, the Extraordinary Secretary for Tax Reform, Bernardo Appy, gave a long interview to explain the details of the bill submitted by the government to the National Congress on the regulation of Tax Reform. In other news, Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Cristiano Zanin responded to the government's request and suspended sections of the law that extended the payroll tax exemption for 17 sectors and cut the social security rate for city halls. The government claims that the lack of compensation violates the Fiscal Responsibility Law (LRF) and the Constitution. Wednesday, May 1 is a national holiday, so next week will likely be less busy in Brasília.
