In the Senate, the focus is on Tax Reform. In a meeting with the Ministry of Finance, the rapporteur, Senator Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), said that he is making small changes to his text. Although there may be a delay in this schedule, the vote is expected to be completed in the Senate in November. The bill extending the payroll tax exemption for 17 sectors of the economy until December 2027 may be sent to President Lula for approval. The bill was approved in the Senate on October 25. On Wednesday, November 8, the Supreme Federal Court (STF) may once again analyze a Direct Act of Unconstitutionality (ADI 5090) on Art. 13 of Law Nº 8,036/90 and Art. 17 of Law Nº 8,177/91, which provides for the correction of deposits in accounts linked to the FGTS by the reference rate (TR).
