Yesterday, the government announced a decree requiring transparency in the gross profit margins of fuel distributors. The measure aims to enable weekly monitoring of prices, preventing companies from absorbing subsidies and ensuring that fuel price reductions reach consumers. The Minister of Labor and Employment, Luiz Marinho, stated that the government is also expected to soon introduce measures to reduce household debt. A debt renegotiation program is expected to run for three months starting in May. The Parliamentary Inquiry Committee (CPI) on Organized Crime rejected, by a 6–4 vote, the indictment of Supreme Federal Court justices Alexandre de Moraes, Dias Toffoli, and Gilmar Mendes. The report by Senator Alessandro Vieira (MDB-SE) had proposed holding the justices accountable based on the Banco Master case, but the proposal was ultimately defeated.
